Subject: Great Recording by a Kind Brother

Subject: AUDs are heady
kee-zee, may I recommend you check out for many choice AUD recommendations. When I first got into Dead tapes, I was a SBD-only listener, but then I found super crispy AUDs like this and learned how to appreciate them. Tapers like Rango, Jim Wise, Jerry Moore, and Joni Walker make this easy.

I'm also happy to meet another Brother Esau fan. It's one of my favorite Dead tunes.

You will usually find my reviews in the SBD area's..My brother forces me to listen outside the box and check out an AUD or two..I must say you get that down and dirty vibe of the show!! I really enjoyed this AUD version of a great 83' show and will do more AUD research! so please..GIVE IT A WHIRL!!Forever Grateful>Forever Dead!!

Subject: So What.
Never noticed it before but around the 11:30 to the 12:25 minute mark of Estimated it almost sounds like the So What jam and or a little bit like the Jam in Don't Let Go. Had to click back and relisten . Over all these 2 nights were better then the Ventura shows the end of July.
As always the sound quality is right up there with any other great sounding aud tape. In other words I LOVE IT

Subject: Yet Another Rango Gem...
...that i missed before while scouring these vaulted annals. Phew! How 'bout that? Slick as a whistle. This show is quite a find. 'Tis a pleasing rendition of the ambient available joyful noise present there that afternoon in the great outdoors at lovely Stanford Frost.

Excellent audience recording. All colors of the sound spectrum are well-defined. Kudos to Mssr's Keshavan & Miller. Thanks, gents.

The band's performance is what the band's performance usually was even on a bad night: superb. And as usual to me each tune was competently displayed. Thanks, Boys.

And while i'm at it hurling great swelling words of praise and recognition, how could i not mention the Archives and how much they do for all of us? Thanks, Archives.

Time to break out the pocketbook and send a donation.

Subject: Very Good!
This is very good. Very good sound, and a high energy, high quality '83 show (which means there are a couple bumps along the way--Esau).However, the boys, especially Jerry, showed up to ROCK. Birdsong, Shakedown, Eyes..even Black Peter.

Get this.

As always, thanks to all involved. Thanks for keeping the sounds alive!
